I'm a conservative homeschooler and didn't really want my 3, 4, 5, and 7 year olds talking about the "ass."But I was attracted by the price and CD, and I'm really happy with the product. IMHO everything for little kids ought to be on CD because they learn so well from them. And the CD has most of the famous fables on it (about a third of them from the book, which has over 100). I would have given it five stars if the print/layout had been just a little bit more kid-friendly... the pages have the old school font and layout like from the 50s, with double columns and typewriter (close set) font. But it is still a lovely book, old fashioned, true to the originals. After debating about this version versus the others, I'm happy with it. We used it with Evan-Moor Lit Pockets (Fables), and it had all 8 stories suggested. |
