Partly because it was fairly interesting and partly because I had nothing else to do yesterday. I liked it alright and there were a few seconds of decent suspense, but most of it was too perfect and unrealistic and played in the protagonists favor in a way that felt sickly sweet.Mainly, I found myself wondering if this was written for young readers? If that's the case, I stand corrected and this is a fine book. If its aimed for adult readers, I sure could have used some more twists and creative drama. I guess I'm a little spoiled after reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. If you want a more mature read about a tragedy and what happens after, there's your book. Anyway, all in all, if you have a few hours to spare, this book "Favorite" is a nice time killer and mildly intriguing.
